About Govrn

Govrn was born from the idea that boards are being let down by highly limited traditional solutions. They deserve better. With many other industries harnessing the power of AI and data, it was time for board portals to do the same.

Our Tech is Research-Backed

We have collaborated with two leading universities to build an AI-first product that understands boardroom logic and are conducting continual research to set standards for AI use in boards going forward.

Vision

Govrn’s vision was anchored in the realisation that overcoming the limitations of traditional board portals required a focus on data and AI.

Recognising that boardrooms held a wealth of data —data not fully utilised for insights and decision-making— we set out to unlock this latent potential.

Unlocking Existing Data

We aimed to transform static boardroom data with advanced analytics

Creating a Data-Driven Platform

The ultimate goal was to evolve traditional board portals into sophisticated, data-driven platforms

Integrating AI

The vision involved integration of AI to fully leverage boardroom data

Rethinking the Boardroom

And how boardroom data could be harnessed to drive strategic value and operational excellence

Research

To explore how AI could comprehend board logic and its practical applications, we collaborated with a Natural Language Processing (NLP) expert from the University of Louvain in Belgium.

This partnership focused on training an AI system using board data to enhance its understanding and functionality.

Collaborative Research

Govrn and the University of Louvain explored NLP and its applications within boardroom tech

Strategic Guidance

The research guided effective AI methods for tackling boardroom technology challenges

Knowledge Transfer

The partnership focused on transferring AI expertise from the university to Govrn's technical team

Establishing the foundations

The collaboration was pivotal in establishing Govrn's AI Engine

Build

Armed with insights from the research phase, Govrn embarked on building the AI engine that would revolutionise boardroom technology.

This phase involved transforming theoretical knowledge into a practical, robust solution capable of delivering real-world results.

Applying Research Learnings

The team used University of Louvain’s research to build prototypes for the AI engine

Prototype Testing

The prototypes were tested with real boardroom data to assess the AI engine’s performance and accuracy

Training on Real Board Data

The AI engine trained on boardroom data, adapting to its nuances for real-world effectiveness

Iterative Refinement

The AI engine was refined continuously based on testing feedback, improving accuracy and reliability

Deploy

With the AI engine now fully developed and refined, Govrn’s innovative solution is available to revolutionise boardroom technology.

This phase focuses on practical deployment and collaboration with Brunel Business School, part of Brunel University, to establish best practices for safe and effective adoption of AI in the boardroom.

Market Availability

Govrn’s AI-powered boardroom solution is now available, with early adopters integrating it and providing feedback

Initial Feedback

Feedback from early users is crucial for ongoing improvements

Client Engagement

Govrn works closely with clients to integrate the AI solution, offering training, support, and ongoing assistance to maximise its impact

Iteration

Govrn remains responsive to user insights, iterating on the AI engine to enhance its effectiveness and user satisfaction continually

Collaboration with Brunel Business School

We're collaborating with Brunel Business School in the study and publication of a Boardroom AI Adoption Whitepaper.  This whitepaper will serve as the foundation to establish guidelines for AI utilisation in boardroom settings, producing of a set of Boardroom AI Assistant System Guidelines and a policy report on AI Adoption for Board Governance.
